'In An Ocean Of Art'- A Doodle Painting.
While aimlessly scrolling through several artworks on a lazy afternoon on my Pinterest feed, I came across a different and beautiful form of art called 'Doodling'. What I initially thought of being as only some sort of creative squiggles at the end of one's school notebook, doodling is actually a very intricate form of freestyle art. Upon further research. I found that it actually reaps several benefits.
It has been found that those who doodle regularly have greater memory and retention power. It is also a great way of releasing stress, as the continuous and fluid motions of sketching tend to reduce cortisol, which is the stress hormone. Doodling facilitates concentration, and also enables one to think out of the box.
I made my mixed-media painting inspired by doodle art, and features a watercolor octopus (which I was only able to give six legs oops). This painting was completed in two days, during the course of which I blasted music in my headphones, something which I was unable to do during other paintings as it required me to pay more attention to detail. This was extremely fun to make and it would be suggested that everyone should try doodling once in a while, even if it means drawing squiggles at the end of an old notebook :D
If you have anything to say about the painting, or would like to share your own experience with doodling, let me know in the comments below and don't forget to like this post;) As always,
Much Love,
